WHAT: Enjoy a great day of blues and roots music in the square, as well as a variety of vendors with unique handcrafted products! 2007 Concert for Peace is a free outdoor single day music festival, welcome to anyone who enjoys spending time with loved ones, hearing great music, and wants to make a peace statement. The concert takes place at North York City Hall, Mel Lastman Square on Saturday, August 18th, 2007. It is a festival for the entertainment of our audience, not a peace rally, so there are no marches, no signs, no politicians, and no speeches. The music is the message! This event is part of a worldwide series to raise our combined voices to the world to encourage people to think, talk, and promote themes of peace. The event will feature continuous music all day, including children’s programming.
